More about me
I became a mother at the age of 19, embarking on a journey filled with challenges and growth. Navigating the early years was not always easy, but I was deeply aware of how fortunate I was to have the support of my extended family.
As my knowledge and confidence grew, so did my family. At 25, I welcomed my second daughter into my life. Although I was not her birth mother, this new dynamic presented its own unique challenges. With patience and dedication, we built a strong and loving bond.
Two years later, I experienced the birth of my first son—born at home after a long labour. Our breastfeeding journey was difficult, which led me to train as a peer supporter at a local breastfeeding support group. This experience deepened my fascination with birth, expanding both my knowledge and passion for supporting others.
While running three breastfeeding support groups, we welcomed our second son. This time, with greater confidence and belief in myself, I embraced another home birth—this time, in just two hours.
As I continued raising my family and supporting other women through pregnancy, birth, and postpartum, I conceived twins. They were born naturally in the hospital at 35 weeks, arriving healthy and perfect.
Over the years, I had the privilege of crossing paths with Evony Lynch, a former midwife with over 20 years of NHS experience and now a Birth Keeper at Sacred Womancraft. Our acquaintance grew into a deep friendship when I had the honor of serving as her daughter’s doula. With her mentorship and encouragement, I refined my birth-keeping skills. While we work independently, we have had the privilege of supporting many wonderful families together. Our professional synergy is strengthened by our friendship, which I deeply value.
Alongside Evony, I am grateful to be part of a strong and supportive doula and birth-keeping community, where collaboration and mutual support are at the heart of our work.
I am a passionate advocate for home birth and freebirth, yet I also support women who choose to birth within the healthcare system, as reflected in my references. My commitment is to empower women in making informed choices, ensuring they feel supported, respected, and confident in their birth experiences.
